How we work

Editorial policy

Clear credits, honest listening and a visible line between editorial work and advertising.

Reviews and discovery

We score music only when we have assessed the recording itself. A release announcement or New Music introduction can explain what is available and why it is worth investigating, but it does not receive a Signal score merely because it exists. Our public scoring tiers are set out in The Signal.

Sources and AI credits

We distinguish verified release information from an artist’s description of their own process. Where possible, articles link to original releases, artist statements, interviews and relevant primary documents. We identify official cover art and do not assume that “AI-created” and “AI-assisted” mean the same thing.

Corrections

If we get a material fact wrong, we correct it. Send the article link and supporting information through our contact page. Substantive corrections should be noted in the article so readers can understand what changed.

Independence

We do not sell coverage, favorable reviews or Signal scores. Advertising, if present, is not an endorsement and does not determine editorial choices. Any paid or sponsored editorial collaboration would be clearly labeled.
